Meet our leaders
KMP was founded in February 2006 by Mark Miller and Dave Kirk—two builders who believed industrial clients deserved a contractor that could execute with urgency, accountability, and professionalism.
Mark Miller — Co-Founder
Mark brings deep experience in structural steel fabrication and erection, including industrial access systems like platforms, railings, ladders, and fall protection. He also supports broader industrial scopes that demand disciplined coordination and clean execution.
Dave Kirk — Co-Founder
Dave brings strong expertise in industrial piping, along with rigging, millwright support, and plant outage work—the kind of high-impact execution where planning and safety directly affect uptime.
Project Management & Field Leadership
Our foremen, supervisors, and project managers coordinate manpower, sequencing, and safety compliance to keep complex work moving—especially during tight outage windows and milestone-driven projects.
KMP also offers project management and construction management services upon request, and provides in-house detailing for structural steel and isometric drawings.
At KMP Mechanical, our work is only as strong as the people performing it. We’re built around experienced field leadership, disciplined safety practices, and crews who take pride in doing the job right—whether it’s structural steel, process piping, rigging/millwright work, or outage support.
We approach every project as a partner to the facility team: we plan carefully, communicate clearly, protect schedules, and execute safely. That’s how we earn trust—and keep it—on complex, time-sensitive industrial work.
The values driving our culture
Safety is non-negotiable
We train, audit, and reinforce safe work practices—every job, every day, every crew.
Craftsmanship matters
We take pride in clean installs, correct fit-up, and work that holds up in real plant conditions.
Own the outcome
We show up prepared, follow through, and take accountability from kickoff to closeout.
Communicate early and often
Straight answers, clear updates, and proactive coordination with customers and other trades.
Respect the facility
We work clean, protect operations, and treat proprietary environments with professionalism.
Build the next generation
We invest in developing younger skilled workers through hands-on training and mentorship in the field and shop.
